nice vid... Only did this HM on 10 so far but why the frost spec? I know mana, but I used my normal FB/TTW spec here and I had not problems with my mana at all when the fight ended I still had like 30-40% mana

(1) 25-man is a lot harder and longer.

(2) survivability, not just mana

(3) remember it was extremely nerfed in 3.2

I haven't done a HM general, but i've done the regular alot of times. just wondering why didn't your mages go ffb spec? i mean the mana efficiency on it isn't that much worse than the frost spec

Because when you include brain freeze and water elemental, the mana efficiency actually *is* noticably worse. Also, when you're first learning, you can pick up arcane mind as frost which lets your mana pool extend for a minimal dps cost.

Frost also puts up scorch automatically -- restacking scorch is just not the sort of thing you want to be doing on Vezax.

Mainly, though: ice barrier is very very useful when learning -- ffb has no bonus survivability. (Frost has MA also, in the arcane tree.)
