Imagine that you're dining at a fancy restaurant, when suddenly, across the room, you see something that makes you do a double take. You see your good friend's significant other with a complete stranger ... and it's clear dessert isn't the only thing on their minds.

Would you tell your wronged friend?

ABC News recruited six couples and asked them to pretend to cheat on their mate in front of an unsuspecting best friend.

20/20 set up there experiment at Ennio & Michael's, an Italian restaurant in New York's Greenwich Village. The restaurant was rigged with hidden cameras. Outside in a nearby control van, we watched with Donna Barnes, a life and relationship coach, as the ethical dilemma unfolded.

  • Wow, that brunette in the middle had incredibly shitty friends. I feel so bad for her.

  • Where the fuck are the guys that have been cheated on by their wives? I'm talking about the faithful and honest guys out there who have been cheated on. WHERE THE FUCK ARE THEY AND WHY THE HELL AREN'T THEY ON THIS SHOW!? >:( This show is sexist. Its always males that are the worst and unfaithful creatures on the planet. Women are better and are always faithful and honest. This shit is absolutely ABSURD.

  • @TrueInnovator159 I would know about that, but i know that all people lie. They lie, cheat and manipulate all the time. . . until proven otherwise.

  • pretty shitty thing to do to ur mates

  • @TrueInnovator159 Calm down there, sailor. I'm pretty sure they use mostly women BECAUSE they evoke a more emotional response from people watching the scene. It's what sells. I'm sure they are not sexist, simply trying to get more people to react so they can use more air time to get more money.

  • no such thing as cheating, its just bullshit for jealous idiots. lose your jealousy and free yourself from bronze age nonsense.

    monogamy, fuck off ;D

  • @trufuknplaya freedom? dont get into a relationship if you want freedom. Yes, everyone is entitled to their freedom but that doesnt mean you have the right to fool and hurt someone. You dumbass.

  • @dotmacis how can it be wrong? why are humans monogamous at all in the first place?

  • @trufuknplaya Cheating on your spouse or significant other, is just wrong - PERIOD. If I were to catch my best friend's spouse cheating on her, she'd definitely hear from me. She deserves to know, no matter what.

  • I lost both my wife and so called friends the same way!

  • The friend made a smart move by geting the husband out of there and then telling the wife. That's a good friend
