KillerXtreme88: You don't know what you're talking about. Laws vary from state to state, and usually involve what the driver can see, not simply videos playing in your car. You can't make blanket statements like that.

Furthermore, I would be very surprised if ANY state would "strip it from your car" instead of just giving a ticket. Can you imagine a cop on the side of the road trying to remove your stereo!

links/idea/info for any type of carputer build just pm me. I've done my own using my own computer with upgraded ram, and my original 17 inch lcd mounted to the trunk so when you open it the monitor comes up, and for use while driving the 7 inch lilliput touchscreen is mounted in my steering wheel :P. Then audio out to the head unit, and nothing extra required for my amp since the sub preout is perfect. My 15"s and 3000 watt system makes videos, gaming, music awesome.

With a carputer you may, there are many that come with windows embedded, and if you don't have much money, but have a computer you don't use. You can get a power inverter, hook it to your battery like an amplifier, and plug your computer in to that. Typical computer uses between 60 - 440 watts the upper region being for cpu intensive actions. So if you have windows, and either a cell phone with data plan, or a 3g or whatever usb internet adapter you can be chillin with any programs. If you need
