@SalvageHill Totally man. Completely agree.

this guy is so lost...he makes Christianity no more than a self help seminar it quiet disgusting.. in regards to masturbation it is wrong the early church fathers called it self abuse.. it becomes and addiction and leads men to seek further stimuli.. and the next greater high.. even the thoughts of lust fulness leads to sin..

Also, Jesus says lust is as serious as adultery; it actually is adultery in your heart. Masturbation is usually fueled by lustful thoughts, so for singles, that is definitely adultery. But all in all the point is God is interested in every aspect of your life, He's concerned about everything you are concerned about. AND, God invented sex, not Satan!

Great interview! I especially like how Driscoll points to Jesus as the main focus of spiritual life. However, he was kinda off on masturbation. The Bible is not direct on the topic, but the principle is there: Sex is for a husband and wife to share love, not just "get off". If you're alone, it doesn't fit the purpose of sex.

Driscoll just comes up with the usual empty answers every question session, all right wing conservatism and nothing that's actually constructive or helpful. Furthermore a married man is in no position to preach at singles, and as for dodging the masturbation question - a straight up coward, who obviously hasn't read his bible. Driscoll is not the "cool' preacher he thinks he is, more like a mahco poser who himself can't accept the real Jesus, the gentle effeminate man the gospels show him as.

DL & Mark a straight up genuine conversation and no one was arguing with each other wow!
Mark Driscoll is skilled with communicating with the culture... he navigates the interview superbly... kudos to him....

I think Driscoll's view was spot on. The fact that he took the opportunity to actually minister some encouragement to D.L. by turning the conversation from religion to Jesus shows us the man's heart. As for his non-response to the masturbation question, I think he made a genius move. I learned a very long time ago that when the Bible is silent that I should be as well. Not entering into a debate with the host showed wisdom. We need to step back from militant dogma and offer the Word.
