Hey! I could give you some reply now because I study at the VBA :)
So, no, we do not do character every day here but twice a week. each course is separated of course and nowadays there is no character class in year 9. only in year 8 and then in the final year it is other subjects instead. From grade 4 we study character and each year there is a character exam (it is not as important as the classical exam but important for the marks you get).
