Because Sephiroth needs his OWN LANGUAGE because his name is epic enough to make start the first word in one.

They actually are singing "SEPHIROTH"!!! Among a bunch of other Latin words.

As much as I like the band that accompanied Play!, I feel like the singing was overshadowed heavily by them. It's probably because i'm more interested in the symphonic parts though. Some of the musical aspects that still send shivers down my spine listening to the game version either went completely unheard or you could JUST make it out over the drums and guitar. Moar orchestra, less electric guitar plz--even though it was epic in it's own way.
