mine eyes also turn moist......my child hood has fond memories of him.....his voice has special place in the culture of india and it will always remain there.......like Gita Press hari om Sharan has codified the religious stream in indian hinduism

Hamare hriday mein, Hari-Om Sharan aur Nandini Sharan ji ke gehre bhav bhare ek ek shabd, bhakti ka saagar bhar dete hain. Kewal woh hi samajh paate hain jin par Shri Bhagwaanji ki aseem kripa hoti hai.

When did Hari Om Sharan Jee pass on? He is so wonderful. Just yesterday, I was just thinking why don't we have his concerts in US. He was such a holy man and great artist. We will miss him but his music and inspiration will live for ever in our hearts. Pinky Wadhwa

I don't know when, but an age will surely come when people will realize the evil effects of too much physicality, and turn to spirituality. Then, they will bury all the vulgar music and will again start listening to Bhajans. All the music by people like Hari Om Sharan and Anup Jalota will then do the work of purifying a large number of souls. When an appropriate time comes, one realizes that Bhajans are even more precious than gold and silver. I, myself, have realized this a few months before.

I listen to hari om sharanji since childhood..........have so many memmories associated with his bhajans.....few minutes back come to know about his death.....I am really sad.....my eyes turn into tears....may your true soul rest in peace.........

This was perhaps his last recording. I recorded him in Orissa.
Lovely person and i had the privilege of spending seven days with him. He was my Guru Bhai. Sadly missed.
