Heard this on New Orleans late night radio back in the late 70's and fell in love with the lyrical instrumentals. I heard that Abdullah's music was the only music that was smuggled in to Nelson Mandela when he was in prison. Can anyone verify this?

I think he will be 76 this October. Does he still play concerts? Would love to see him in the US. Maybe for Jazzfest.
