Back in about 1990, an Australian interviewer asked John Mills what was his favourite film of his prolific career and without hesitating, he replied: 'Hobsons Choice'. Mills regarded the earlier films of David Lean as his best work (Hobsons Choice, In which We serve etc) and he dismissed Lean's later epics (Dr Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia etc) as 'B-movies'.

Oh, darling Blacklily555, thank you, thank you! I caught the last half hour of this film on Turner Classic Movies nearly two years ago and have been looking for it ever since! How utterly marvelous that you, o' considerate, lovely you, uploaded it when I had almost given up hope. You're such a somebody, such a contender! I'll still try to find some place to buy the movie but to be sure and certain, I'll enjoy it right here and now! Quick, someone fetch me a bowl of popcorn!
