  • did u use the wire that came with it?

  • @iroc464 in this video, yes but now, NO. I use lincoln wire now

  • @iroc464 nope thats flux cored

  • Nice welding job man.I plan on picking one of these up soon.Do you or anybody else think this would be a good welder to start off with to build bike frames?

  • @illchilla09 bike frames as in bicycles or motorcycles?

for bicycles yes it will do okay but if you are going to be building a lot of them, then get an oxy-fuel torch!! harbor freight also has those so check 'em out

they are more useful and can perform more tasks than a small MIG

  • Your like 12 you cant even till what metal you are using. You aren't using leather clothes.

  • @gopedsrok you're like 10 and can't spell you retard

  • Saw one of these on Amazon and thought about buying it. Thanks for the demo! Looks like it does the job.

  • @steveo928 and they also take literally 20x longer to weld a joint.

  • @steveo928 thats a nice helmet

  • you didnt do bad but from what i can tell your a little to close you dont want the spater to get in the tip and cause arcing inside the tip just saying nice though

  • @partyboy93 as far as i knew, we were talking about bike frames. i agree, tig is definitely a stronger bond. on bicycle frames, though, there is a huge chence of warping from too much heat. brazing alone creates a bond stronger than the actual tubing and it's more conducive keeping the frame true. if a properly constructed bicycle frame were to encounter enough force to compromise the joint, the tubing would most likely shear first. for a motorcycle frame, tig all the way :)

  • Good job Stevo!!!!! Did you use a gas canister with it too?

  • @partyboy93 most custom bicycle frames are basically soldered together. haha. just brazed with a torch.
