2011 Mardi Gras in Iota, Louisiana

Corey Ledet and his Zydeco Band play from 10 AM till noon. The day featured Kids' Parade, Mardi Gras parade, dancing, food, arts and crafts concessions, and friendly people from down the street and from half the states in the Union.
Dancers and revelers ducked random downpours by standing under any tree, vendor tent or oversized umbrella available...clothes and shoes were dampened but not spirits. This dance got underway after one particularly robust torrent, TV cameras were there to capture this traditional Mardi Gras in the middle of main street Iota as people ventured back from (relatively) dry places.
