  • Hey! Im in the process of making a complete DRO setup for the Taig and will post a better video and a link to my blog on building it.

    This was a proof of concept and only accurate to ~0.003" I have a 3/4" paintbrush i clean off the cartridge with between tool changes so chips are not a problem for me.

    On the lathe you might want to bend some 1/8" plexi over the entire scale so if you do any sort of cooling they will stay dry

  • Cool. I'm currently doing this setup with my Taig Mill but am concerned about chips, dust etc. Do you find this to be a problem.?? any advise on how to keep the scales clean. ?
