My family and I were vacationing in New England and we just happened to be in town for the Fryburg Fair (in Maine). I'd never seen a horse pull before, nor been to a county fair for that matter so I thought it'd be exciting to watch.
All I can say is WOW, such power! The sleds are 3000+lbs of concrete. You can get an idea of how heavy they are when you see the tractor reset the sled. Unfortunately, the camera microphone couldn't pick up the chest-resonating thud when the horses connected with the concrete sled.
I live like 15 miles from Fryburg and Me and my grandparents stay there all week every year for the fair!!
