One day, lebanon will become strong with its diversity and this same so called "weakness" will become a strength. It's time to move away from out primitive ideas and start working for our beloved LEBANON.

So to answer your question Mr. llerbero, this video shows many people of clearly different physical traits saying they are from their respective countries. HOWEVER, when they show the lebanese flag people start identifying them selves by their religion/sect. When I saw this it gave me goose bumps and I wanted to share it with others. Because it reflects a true and sad reality that needs to be overcome.

Part of it has to do with the extremist educational systems in some neighboring countries that were never exposed to any source of democracy. Other reasons involve the acceptance of discrimination and slander as something OK.

So it is a sad reality, but goes beyond any Lebanese person's control.

That religious diversity, combined with freedom of religious expression, and agitated by strong foreign intervention in our local politics (from multiple sides and countries) seems to be the cause of a non-ending conflict that seems to have no end and no solution.

And as you may read from Mr. Syrian87's comment below, many people have strong opinions about the country.

Lebanon is only 10,452km. 3.5 to 4 million people live in this little country on the Mediterranean. DIVERSITY is what makes us who we are. Diversity in terms of Religion (considering most natives have lived there for hundreds if not thousands of years). So although we are one people, we differ is belief; so much so that it has cause a lot of problems over the years.
