One of the true 100 club cult sounds that got released first time round. Shame this has never been licensed by Ady for a anniversary 45. It would be worth as much as the unreleased 45's!!!!!!

Iv always loved dancing to northern soul but all the "our scene" c*** just dosnt do it for me . Stuff the "in crowd" its too elitist and self regarding a lot of the time . Its the music i love and not "the scene" particulally . Though i am grateful to al the crate digging djs x

That's pretty interesting. Also, pre/apres echoes of "Far From The Maddening Crowd" in there.

Thanks Rob P.
"...this time Ray Davis did the lead with Sammy Campbell doing the bridge and the ending. Its easy to suspect that this is an answer to Dobie Grays The In-Crowd, except the Dobie Gray record came out in1965 and Ray Davis left the Del Larks in 1963. In addition Ron Taylor said he remembered singing the
song and he left the Del Larks in 1961. Its possible the Del Larks song, which they didnt write, was shopped to Dobie Gray a few years later and changed into The In Crowd."
thanks, I never thought I'd ever get the chance to own one of these!

Rob P. must be one the best British "crate diggers" I've seen at record fairs.
