Ahh! So that was you at Amokoura! I was one of the 2 which got out of the green car with my camera on a tripod.

Thanks for telling me about your camera. I appreciate having a general idea of what sort of camera I could get for the price you mentioned, for when I eventually buy a new one. I didn't imagine a camera as beautifully compact as yours could be capable of recording such stunning high quality pictures!

I look forward to seeing your shot at Amokoura/Meremere. I realise now we were at the same crossing! I was there with my camera placed on top of the red car. :)

Thanks! And once again I don't mind sharing it. No I don't use a professional camera or tripod, the camera is an HDR-HC3E full HD mini dv camcorder made by sony. Its model is about 1.5 yrs old but very good, I bought it on a sale at Harvey Norman for $1350. The tripod is a Slik one and has a fluid head, bought for $99.

Sure was an increadible day, I got a shot at Amokoura but unfortunately ruined it while videoing :(

Great viewing! Much better than my clip of the train going through Meadowbank. Though, in my defence, I have to use a still camera with zero adjustment, once the shutter button is pressed.
