I know that my Redeemer lives;
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, He lives, who once was dead;
He lives, my ever living Head.

He lives to bless me with His love,
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed,
He lives to help in time of need.

He lives to grant me rich supply,
He lives to guide me with His eye,
He lives to comfort me when faint,
He lives to hear my souls complaint.

He lives to silence all my fears,
He lives to wipe away my tears
He lives to calm my troubled heart,
He lives all blessings to impart.

He lives, my kind, wise, heavenly Friend,
He lives and loves me to the end;
He lives, and while He lives, Ill sing;
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.

He lives and grants me daily breath;
He lives, and I shall conquer death:
He lives my mansion to prepare;
He lives to bring me safely there.

He lives, all glory to His Name!
He lives, my Jesus, still the same.
Oh, the sweet joy this sentence gives,
I know that my Redeemer lives!

  • I believe this is Vocal Point - yes?

  • @nurlond Thats a good questions I'm not sure.

  • @keltontrey I'm really thinkin' it is the BYU men's choir. Nothing negative toward VP, but it seems too carry too much depth for them.

  • @NeroBNiv You are correct, it is the BYU mens choir, I wish MOTAB or someone else would pick this up and preform it.

  • So are you saying you believe in things you cannot see or prove? :)

  • you mormons are still poking sticks at rattlesnakes...why dont you just enjoy the beauty of your music and leave those who wish to destroy everything beautiful to the god whom you worship...when you answer one of these who know nothing of your religion you just invite a triade of hate. Your music give us all great joy, they give us nothing ...Christ in his final statement to those who did not understand him he SAID NOTHING...Silence was his answer to those who could not and would not listen

  • @iamdlogan1 your such a stud!

  • No longer a Mormon, but this song is still close to my heart.

  • @JstHudson You should do a little more research, the LDS view that God is 3 separate beings has been around for a long time. If you actually read the scriptures and think about what it's saying if's fairly obvious that the Godhead is not 3 people in one entity. That's unreasonable and is not duplicated anywhere else in the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's a perpetuated theory from the council of Nicea.

  • @keltontrey Yeah, guess what? We call those three persons, not three separate gods. We also say that it makes up the Godhead, but Mormons go off the deep end saying they're three separate deities. This is polytheism. Therefore, this is not Christianity because as God said "I am the Lord the God, thou shalt have no other gods before me" referring to his singular self.

  • @JstHudson And I have plenty of verses "implying" that all 3 Gods make up the Godhead, you just choose to ignore those.

  • @keltontrey It's implied. Plenty of verses to back it up, and several denominations have defended it before Mormonism bopped around. Besides, when you say there isn't one, are you saying Christ is a separate deity from God? Isn't that polytheism? Hey-o, you're not a Christian are you?
