NYU Sight and Sound class. I had four hours to assemble my crew, which consisted of classmates Phil, Elizabeth, and Joe, and check out the equipment and shoot the footage, and return the equipment. The editing would be after the film was processed about a week later. The assignment was to use the time limitations to complete a story. The shot list was key. The fewer shots required to tell the story, the easier it would be. I got an A- -which is what I always got for a grade in that class. Our crew of four would take turns each week being the cameraman, director/editor, and producer, so by the end of the semester each one of us would have five films we directed. My teacher liked this film a lot and asked me to submit it to the school for other classes to see.
