Tobuscus, the person who started the Coke, pork & worms video spree has admitted that his video was a hoax!

http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/porkworm.asp

This is a little video we made in response to the video that shows what happens when you pour coke on pork. We have also included a nice little recipe for your enjoyment.

On Trichinella Spiralis (source Wikipedia):

Freezing pork less than 6 inches thick for 20 days at 5 °F (−15 °C) or three days at −4 °F (−20 °C) kills larval worms

Cooking meat products until the juices run clear or to an internal temperature of 140 °F (62 °C).

Cooking wild game meat thoroughly. Freezing wild game meats, unlike freezing pork products, even for long periods of time, may not effectively kill all worms. This is because the species of trichinella that typically infects wild game is more resistant to freezing than the species that infects pigs.
Cooking all meat fed to pigs or other wild animals.
Not allowing hogs to eat uncooked carcasses of other animals, including rats, which may be infected with trichinosis.
Cleaning meat grinders thoroughly when preparing ground meats.
Control and destruction of meat containing trichinae, e.g., removal and proper disposal of porcine diaphragma prior to public sale of meat.

  • 2 hours dude. wait for 2 hours

  • @opmega It doesn't happen after two hours, maybe after two days and the flies have had a chance to lay a few eggs. The person who created the original video admitted it was a hoax. There is no truth to this myth. None, zero, zilch.

  • In the other video they timed it for 2 hours. not 2 minutes

  • @samsungboy95 Actually no. They put out a video that said two minutes, then later they revised it to say two hours. And after that they came out and admitted that the video was a hoax. Tobuscus was the original uploader.

  • ok, so porkchops, coke, onions, mustard, ketchup, pepper, garlic powder and cat saliva. Sounds delicious, I may just have to try it :D

Thanks for the vid... the lighting could've been better but I trust the meat didn't spawn any worms :)

  • @sarkasmi83 Yeah, the problem wasn't the lighting... I accidentally left the neutral density filter on. Stupid rookie mistake.

  • ewwww, you ate the pork chops your kitty licked, now you really are going to get worms

  • Anyway, saturated fat and sulfur in animal protein is much more harmful than hypothetical worms in pork

  • @opmega two hours, two minutes, two lives...all of these videos say other stupid stuff

  • enough said

    the reply video

  • if you contained the pork and not let it sit in the open for about two hours, yeah, the flies will be attracted because of the sugar from the Coke, and they lay their eggs on the pork...I never believed that concept and watching the video was stupid, yet some people can be so gullible as to believe. Only goes to show how much 85% of the population will believe without thinking....that's Why the media controls people's train of thought.

  • @Chainedflesh dont even try these peple are so naive that they will believe anything
