Beth Orton - Roll The Dice (William Orbit - Dice) Original.

The track is from the 1993 album Superpinkymandy and re-appeared years later as Dice by William Orbit featuring Finley Quaye and Beth Orton.

SuperPinkyMandy is the debut album of British singer Beth Orton. Largely in the style of electronica, and produced closely with then boyfriend William Orbit, it was a limited Japan-only release, with about 5000 copies pressed. As such, it is very rare and much sought after. It contains tracks that later appear on both Beth Orton and William Orbit albums such as, She Cries Your Name, Don't Wanna Know 'Bout Evil, Dice and Yesterday's Gone which became Montok Point on William Orbit's Hinterland album.

  • Has she ever performed this live?

  • @CornflakeGirlDC I wouldn't think so no, she doesn't really acknowledge this album as hers. Orbit kept the majority of the tracks as his in later years, including this.. re-releasing it with Finley Quaye. The few songs she has kept are completely new versions, and Orbit has versions on his Hinterland also.. such as She Cries Your Name.

  • ...and now that I found it..REPEAT-REPEAT-REPEAT-REPEAT..........

  • @77conguero Lol, yes it's a very natural phenomenon. The human heart is multifaceted and can mold into a wide range of cards granted the opportunity knocks, there's so much soul in music it's no wonder we can fall in a sense for it. Beth Orton is a genuine talent, : )

  • @Waxthumper Love the way you faded Beths picture in, nice touch.

  • Better than Findley Quay. Much.

  • Just found out that it's possible to fall in love with a song.

  • I saw Beth at the Newport Folk Festival many years ago. She was great then and discovering these Orbit collaborations on YT makes her great to me now!

  • I think I listened to this song almost 1 million times I just can't get over it, it's like my soul comes out when it plays. William Orbit and Beth Orton are both greatest artists ever.
