In fact, I'd feel better about calling out a smug pregnant woman if I were consistently nice to them than if I were impolite or rude to them. Why should anyone be cool if everyone's mean to each other? "You're smug." "Well, you're an asshole." That's not the sort of balance I want.

I love this song and I do think some pregnant women can act pretty smug, but that wouldn't keep me from doing a decent thing like giving up my seat to a woman who is visibly pregnant; it's not good for them to be on their feet for a long time, and if the subway makes a sudden stop, it would be worse for a pregnant woman to fall than it would be for me, a healthy woman who isn't pregnant. Just because some women are smug doesn't give us all license to be douches.
