@Davesworld7 Not to be snarky, but back in 84 Orwell, Big Brother were serious concerns for us. Animal Farm and 1984 scared the people at the time, and people at the time were horified at the implications of both the book, and the movie. The idea scared us, but we found comfort in the chant "It can't happen here". Well it is starting to happen here. Almost every public space has security cameras.
Agreed. this is the Eurthmics. this video is so well done, you must cite Dave Stewart as co-creator of the music that inspired you. if you'd made crap...wouldn't be a big deal, but this is super-well done. I'm adding it to my favorites! NICE job!!
Why is this tagged as annie lenox? Why not the band itself? Dave Stewart deserves much of the credit for the successes of this band (duo).
Doubleplusgood was one of the songs from The Eurythmics movie soundtrack for a 1984 remake of the 1956 Orwellian movie 1984. The 1984 remake of the movie also contained (For The Love Of Big Brother) in it's title.
For those who don't know, Orwell's Political/ Science Fiction novel that all this was based on came out in 1949.
