the shows arent anything alike. degrassi is a fun watch, but skins is real. they talk like real teenagers, do the thigns they do. it's like they're talking, not the writers. it's 4 millions time better. probably one of the best series i've had the pleasure of watching.
there was an american version of SKINS on for about 4 episodes and it got cancelled. so no its not off degrassi

haha, I'm an American, but I say Degrassi's still got nothing on Skins. Best teen drama ever created. Makes Gossip girl look like dirt.
