Yeah, I own this game in cartridge format, and it's actually one of my favorite games, up there with Kirby's Adventure. The character looked different in the Japanese version of it, but when they brought it over seas, they changed his sprite, to look more like a Chef Boyardee.

The frying pan reminds me of Princess Peach, the elevators of Zelda II, and the whole look and feel is like Rockin' Kats...

The Japanese version has a different main character, and he headbutts enemies instead of whacking them with the frying pan.
