How to pluck your eyebrows:
Hey guys! Im April and youre here today to learn how to pluck eyebrows. So, lets have some fun! Some of the tools that youll need before you get started are a pair of tweezers of course, and a pair of manicure scissors. Most people when they first start plucking their eyebrows are scared of the pain, but there are a couple of tips of the trade that you can use to make it a little easier for yourself. The first one is that you can apply an ice cube to the area and hold it there until its a little numb and make sure you dry off before you start plucking. That should make it a little bit easier. The second is that you can buy an over the counter dental numbing gel to apply to the area and that will also numb the pain. The third and final tip is that you can take a hot towel and apply it to the area and this will help open up the hair follicle, making it easier to pluck. Most people also dont know where their eyebrows are supposed to start, arch, and end. Thats super simple to figure out. All you need is a pencil. You take your pencil and you line it up with the corner of your eye and your nostril and that is where your eyebrow should begin. For your arch, you line it up with your nostril and your pupil, and that should be where your arch is. Also, the longest that your eyebrows should be is from the nostril to the corner of your eye on the outside. Super simple! To show you how simple it can be to pluck your eyebrows, my friend Tracy here has volunteered to let me pluck hers. Since Tracy is so gracious to be my model today, shes going to hold completely still while I show you how easy it can be to mark how to pluck. Youll need a white eyebrow pencil, which you can get for less than a dollar at your local drug store. It makes it super easy its kind of like fill-in-the-blank. So Im going to take my pen or pencil and line it up with her nostril and her corner [of her] eye, and mark her eyebrow. Then Im going to take it and line it up with her pupil and this should be where her arch is. And Im using white because you can see through it to pluck. And then, Im going to mark here. Now I know where her eyebrows should begin, end, and arch. So once thats done, I can just draw a line of how her eyebrows should look. And because the pencil is white, it makes it super easy for me to be able to see the hairs to pluck through. So, if you ever had coloring books when you were a child, this makes it super easy to pluck your eyebrows. Once you pluck, make sure that you keep the area well cleaned and you want to exfoliate at least once a week to prevent ingrown hairs. Now check out Tracy and you can see the difference. You can see the difference Tracys eyebrow frames her face perfectly. And her before. Now Im going to show you some tips that men can use when they pluck their eyebrows. Yes, I said men. You can pluck too! This is my lovely assistant Nick. He has agreed to let me show you how men can easily groom their eyebrows. Mens eyebrows are super easy to groom and maintain. Mostly, mens eyebrows grow a little bit longer. So to aid with that, youll need your trusty manicure scissors and youll also just need to brush them up with either your finger or a toothbrush if you have one. And, as you can see, some of them are longer than his actual eyebrow area. And you just trim. You do the same thing you just brush down. Anything that hangs over the entire eyebrow area, you trim again. That way, no matter what when theyre putting on their sweaters or anything, their eyebrows stay perfectly in shape. I am rally young for browplucking but i had really think and long brows and the hair was long and a bit curly. This description made me look like caveman, but i plucked them so bad they r thin now.My mom ofcourse saw that. I didn't know so i plucked upper hair, and now i want to grow them a bit. But it looks so bad. What shall i do ? :)

@adrijanaGaGa I would follow EllieMae's advice. Let them grow back in natural and then have them done by a stylist, or if you would like, follow the tips in the video. Remember not to over pluck! :)

I have longer eyebrow hairs that i got from my dad. their also bushy, so the beginning part really helped, but then i saw the part for guys and i'm scared to trim them like the guys because their also THIN! (i know.. i have ALL the problems) i dont want to trim them and then have it look like i dont have eyebrows at all. ugh. what do i do?

@lyneajessica If your brows are thin and long you have 2 options! You can trim them to stay in place and use an eyebrow filler like eyeshadow or an eyebrow pencil to define them. Just lightly shade in your brows and VIOLA...

Or you could not trim them and invest in some clear mascara (runs about $2 at your local drugstore). Comb your brows with the clear mascara and let it set. They will stay in place all day.

@spongebob1227 If your eyebrows natural shape is straight, embrace their natural beauty and only pluck strays to help define them more.

If you are looking to alter their shape follow the guidelines in the video with the pencil trick. If that makes you nervous or uneasy go to a nearby salon and have a professional arch them for you. Then you can just pluck strays for upkeep.

Hey adrijanaGaga I think u should let them just grow back to their natural shape or whtever then c if u can go get them waxed or get a stylist to pluck them for u so then they won't get messed up!:)
