My poor attempt to explain an important topic. Unfortunately I found it difficult to make a cohesive video on this subject, but you are welcome to challenge any aspect and perhaps I can clarify things somewhat in the comments section. By the way, I'm not promoting psychoactive drugs in case anyone got that opinion.

Hi Loren,

Long time, first time. I wanted to suggest a book for you to consider reading (If you haven't already) that deals with the issues you are speaking to in this video (consciousness vs physicality). The book is "Philosophy of science: a contemporary introduction" by Alexander Rosenberg.

We used this in one of my college courses and it opened up so many good debates about consciousness as well as questioning the physical world with string theory type of concepts.

A western academic science perspective of evolution is that it is not evolving towards anything, but that populations just evolve, not every population becomes more complex or more conscious over generations.

Others respond in what can be not confused as coincidence or chance, in intentional ways. VERY intentional. They don't just slap around and boom! you get matter. These energies have definitive intent. Math proves this on every level. Consciousness pervades the entire universe and communicates WAY faster than the speed of light. The speed of consciousness is nearly instantaneous at unimaginably great distances. This has been proven through science. See "Twin Particles". Nothing is faster.
