Not that I'm aware of. But the power in the control scheme is in the SSC-32 servo controller. It uses a set of simple ascii commands to control the motion of the arm.
We manufacture the robotic hardware components. The robot is simply illustrating that the peices can be manipulated effectively. The programming to play checkers is not complicated.
Is there a Linux IDE for this robot? If not, would you say it's doable to make one?

Yes, but it's also more expensive. So it's just a matter of determining what you need.
