  • As a technician i must say whomever repaired this definetely butched it up, But it can sometimes become easy to get a bad attitude when dealing with Progressive, the part they are not telling you is that Progressive calls all the shots in the repair! think about it would you want your health insurance company telling the SURGEON how to do his job? "Dont replace that heart when we can save money by repairing it!" they pay about half of what they should

  • Progressive Insurance DOES SUCK!!! I've had them about 25 years, and yet when a woman hits me where I am stopped (she was talking on the phone and looking off to the side even - I watched her approach and slam into me), they paid her and upped my rates because it was more profitable. They didn't even tell me they did it - I got to find out a year after I'd been paying them. Note well the cop on scene said the driver would have been charged if not on a private lot, so she couldn't charge anyone.

  • It's all about the profit for the insurance company and their investors, I wouldn't feel at ease as an investor.

  • @3thekids WTF are you talking about? If it is "Customer" pay of course the repairs are going to be shotty if they get cheap in you, but the insurence company is obligated by law to repair a vehicle properly and safely. I've dealt with DRP's and Customers repairs both as well as non DRP and a reputable shop will perform proper repairs. The insurance company can not and will not jeopardize customer safety, it would be counter productive.

  • @darter1075 bullshit man open your eyes. I've been in the industry about 13 years and all the drp programs i've worked under had nothing to do with the customer. I cant tell you how many repairs I've done that I wouldnt show to someone as my best work because of what they wanted or wouldn't pay for. I would love to do all my work according to I-car, ASE, and manufacturer specs, have the pride of workmanship and get paid to do the job right. Who has the shareholder obligation?????

  • I love how Mike blamed it on the fact that he wasn't there. Sorry Mike......that excuse doesn't fly.

  • state farm is cutting shops out of there program right now too ,so they say on quality and performance,im telling you that there just keeping the shops that suck there balls the most and do things the cheepest. send me a msg if you are a lawyer needed help in fighting theese bullies,i will do all i can to help in any way.

  • liberty mutural???????did you know when a preferred shop writes a est for the ins company they are told to write it at bare minimum if they want to keep there account, with no blending the color or taking items off the vehicle like doorhandle s ,molding, pinstripes ect. just incase the customer cashes out,but iif the customer brings the vihicle back to the shop then they can add all the stuff back that they had to leave off

  • what they didnt tell you is the faster you repair the vehicle the more money the ins company saves on rental and you make a brownie point with them so they send more work.the cheeper the shop manager does work for them gets brownie points too.now the tecs arent making what they used too so they have to rush to still be able to make a paycheck

  • They freaking steer alright, if you don't you lose your job......they sit you down, and talk to you about your performance.......bullshit.
