Here is a short bio about Blue Bell:
I found her up north in the woods - she was
five weeks old, bug bitten, deaf, with a belly full of twigs and moss that she had
been eating. She suffered from digestive problems all her life as a
result of the lack of proper food as a puppy. This ended up being her demise. The deafness was never an
issue because she was super smart - part border collie part lab. Blue Bell knew dozens upon dozens of hand and facial signals. Blue Bell
loved to swim and go after birds. She was very visual as a result of her deafness. A few weeks before her death, I took her for a walk after work. It was
dark out. We were passing a house that was decorated with twinkling Christmas lights. Blue Bell stopped, sat and just looked at the lights.
I had to give her a tug to get her moving again... now I wish I had let her sit a bit longer.
My collie just was spayed a few days
ago, & she is miserable. She is incontinent & acting L/A zombie.
I just happened 2 -B gnawing on a carrot, and
tossed her a piece. She was so happy 2-B
able to chew on something 'legal', and it tasted good 2. I gave her a whole carrot that she tossed around like a bone!
She just came back to life, just now!
Check'd O/L Carrots good for dogs?

Hahaha! I love this video. Such pretty girls. They look like they're thoroughly enjoying their snack. Only one of my dogs was ever interested in carrots.

Carrots were one of the few treats that I could give Blue Bell, the white dog. She suffered from IBS from birth ... which ended up being her demise, bowel lymphoma.
