This is Act 1: Scene 1 (part 1) of my play, "Who's Your Deity?" This was recorded on December 13, 2006 at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. The play centers around Joe, a hopeless romantic that is head-over-heels for a girl who barely knows he exists. In order to win her over, Joe seeks advice from his neighbors and roommates. These aren't your average neighbors and roommates, however. God, Jesus, Buddha, Satan, Allah, Sati, and Aphrodite all come to Joe with their help. But will Joe be able to woo the girl of his dreams? Take the next hour or so to find out. Enjoy!
In this scene, Joe is with his date, Eve. They are about to get a little frisky to the enchanting grooves of Marvin Gaye, but just as Eve is "freshening up" in the bathroom, God interferes and ruins everything. He offers his help to Joe to make up for shitting on Joe's plans, literally. We also meet Jesus, Buddha, Allah, and Sati.
*NOTE: The beginning of the play is in the dark, so the screen will remain pitch black for the first few moments.
