This is my idea for the Forever Yours contest video. It stars myself, Stephen, and several friends, all of us doing our best to act around my local town in England. I wanted to make it seem like an old fashioned love story.
It features two people, Herbert and Lilly Rose, meeting and falling in love. They are then separated by war, and in jealousy, Lilly Rose's friend Vera Lynn tells Lilly Rose that Herbert has cheated on her whilst away. Lilly Rose stops writing to Herbert and as soon as he returns from war, Vera Lynne moves in on him when he is drunk. The two get together but eventually Herbert and Lilly Rose run into each other again. Sparks fly and Vera Lynne finds Herbert looking at a photo of Lilly Rose and kicks him out. Herbert and Lilly finally reunite. I was originally going to have a fight scene involving Herbert and Lilly Rose's new boyfriend, culminating in Herbert being shot and Lilly Rose rescuing him, but I ran out of time. The song ends with the couple still together in fifty years dancing to a song.

Awww Seeing the older couple dance made me half cry / half laugh! I loved this concept and it's modern day take on war-time romances. I also think this should have won, but hey-ho... I'm just glad it got noticed, else I might not have seen it at all! :D X

the video is amazing, i think it wasnt chosen cause theres similar videos like green day's wake me up when september ends and others, but its still better than the winner, great work!
