It is vital as with any "water-filtration" machine to properly clean and maintain after each use. Also, after using the wet cleaning system, you should release any pressure in the system/hoses/connections by depressing the trigger after you have turned the machine off, this will help prevent any water from spraying out and making a mess.

If you have hardwood flooring and/or tile flooring....GET THIS MACHINE!
If you want to cut your dusting by at least 1/3....GET THIS MACHINE!
You can also add a couple of drops of scented oil to the water filter tank before you start cleaning to freshen your home as you clean!
I removed the hepa filter in front of the machine to increase the cleaning/suction power which is fine because the water, combined with the hepa filter in the rear of the machine is more than sufficient!

The only good thing about Bissell is their carpet shampoo with silicone. It does really work. I do not hope that Bissell will approach me with alternative but all I want is to let my steam down. I am really disappointed with this product and wish I had never bought it.

The product could be dangerous as well as once you wash the carpet and unplug the shampoo connector it splashes everywhere which can be hot. The vent lid which blows the air and has filter also become damaged due to cheap plastics. I could not close the lid as it continued to open so had to drill the hole within plastic so it can be shut. This product is the worst product which I had in my life. When Bissell was approached three times they could not help me to solve the issue.

Product is extremely bad designed, plasticky, cumbersome.Had it for two years and within 6 months I bought a much better vacuum cleaner from reputable German manufacturer.
Almost all parts has had some sort of damage due to poor plastics, the first one was within first 3 months. The rotating end adapter is totally useless as quickly picks hairs and stops rotating. Washing is fine but I cannot wash properly due to damaged washing adapter so have to use smaller which is also damaged.
