This was shot a few hours after the River Severn had burst its banks over the dockside area of Gloucester, on 23rd July 2007. (Sorry VID isnt rotated, i did rotate it with Quicktime pro and saved it but it didnt change on here). It was crazy, as not only were power and water supplies down, tesco store emptied from panic buying, traffic lights down, air rescues etc - but also the fact that a BP Petrol Station by the docks had been completely deluged. Car alarms added to the eerieness to the disaster. People packed onto the footpath to look. News transmission vans parked all up the bridge over the intensifying Severn. I saw Jeremy Thompson from sky news reporting live there. It was surreal and serious at the same time. I was on Work Experience at the Gloucestershire Echo also. Very fortunate to experience such an event in such a position. BY NEIL ROBINSON.
