Thank You so much to everyone who have donated and helped make this project happen. We need another $4,000 to make this project be what it can be for Maria and her family.
Please donate now at http://earthship.com/guatemala
@Wazztheweasel Google around a little bit. There are earthship projects in Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Austria (and probably more). I'd say get in touch with them and start a new "cell" over here.

The men of power that you're talking about are the .01% of the population. They're the elites and what makes them tick is beyond me. I'd guess most of them have an obsessive compulsive disorder based on money but I'm a diesel mechanic, not a mental health professional.
But as far as working class men go, we tend to be a pretty straightforward group. We work hard say what we mean and believe what others tell us. We're tend to be vulnerable to deception though.

Actually I like women. I just have a healthy dose of caution when dealing with them.
Women do own more wealth in the US than men. It works out to 51.3% of personal wealth in the United States. Google it or deny it as you choose.
Men make up 45% of the homeless while women represent 16%. Google it.
Now instead of a blanket denial all my statements, which ones did you have a problem with? Let me know and I'll did up some facts for you.

@redragonfly16 Additionally, and amazingly even to me, the fact that MEN start many a war and play games of greed on this earth in the name of power and acquisition, SOMEHOW has not caused me to lose faith in men as a whole.

@vention4wh What you're posting is hearsay and personal opinion, and while you have a right to your opinion as well to be angry and bitter at women, you do not have the right to misinform others. With quick Google research you will find your statements are not true for the US, Canada, or the UK, Nevermind that we are talking about Guatemala, a country with a completely different economic ranking and civil war-torn.

2. These days men are starting to push back. We're refusing to marry and we're keeping our money in our own pocket. Plus since women own more than half the wealth in the US, I think it's fair that they can support their own causes and I'll support mine. For example I donated to the Haiti project since a good amount of the people who benefited were men. If you want to donate to causes that support women, feel free because I'm done with giving my money to you people.

In the US, Canada, Australia, and most of Europe the legal system supports women and throws men under the bus. Whenever a woman is in a legal conflict with a man, whether right or wrong, she's the most likely to win. Homeless women are vastly more likely to get help but society couldn't care less whether I live or die. Plus in a divorce the woman profits, gets to keep the kids, and the man is slammed into debt and kicked out of his family.
