Steel Wool Light Painting Explaind

Today on the DIYP show, Benjamin Von Wong walks us through the fun process of creating a steel wool light painting.

We cover the basic technique, location, safety and a few other useful tips. (Basically we just talking about setting steel wool on fire, can you get any cooler than that?)

it give you the option of setting everything up and then moving back to spin and take 2-3 consecutive pictures.

How did you took the picture standing in front of the flame with no flash?

heya, the light from the sparks does provide a little ambient, and we were at a confined room, so we got some light bouncing from the walls.

the first image is really mix, it was shot on raw and then then i tweaked the hell out of it in lightroom.
