The Lute & The Fury is a new short film, documenting the disturbing cultural phenomenon of Minstrelism.

Britain´s disenfranchised youth is finding solace in renaissance music, and solidarity in the uniform of tights and tunics.

But is this growing trend simply a harmless fad, or a grave social nuisance?

The Lute & The Fury tackles the real issues behind Minstrelry, following the real life story of would-be bard, Jason Hunter.

I know all about the need to dress up and play the lute in public. Sometimes I have the overwhelming urge to do it and sometimes I don't. I guess you could say I have a minstrel cycle, but it is irregular.

As a Bard here in the states, I think we are a misunderstood party. It's more than a tunic and a few rhymes. You have got to have the soul. You have got to be merry. Half the people who say "Do something with your life" don't know a Lute from a Mandolin. At least I'm not playing HALO for Christ's sake.
