Report: McCain Suppressed Info on Fellow Vietnam POWs Left Behind
We speak to Pulitzer-winning journalist Sydney Schanberg about how the âwar heroâ candidate Sen. John McCain buried information about POWs left behind in Vietnam. Writing for The Nation magazine, Schanberg reveals that McCain âworked very hard to hide from the public stunning information about American prisoners in Vietnam who, unlike him, didnât return home.â [includes rush transcript]
The book: "An Enormous Crime" explains all of this very well. The only disagreement I have with this gentleman is that we secretly agreed to the over 1 billion re building amount and then watergate happened and there was no chance of getting funding for it ever passing.

over 600 were left behind this was covered up by nixon, and continued to be covered up by other presidents, they could have came home if the U.S. would have paid a ransom. This has been investigated and now proven to be facts.

and FYI...most all the pows broke down and gave up some info. their torture was so great they all broke down to various degrees and unwillingly cooperated. they were not prepared for this experience. they all acted under a military leadership while pows and were ordered to resist or give up little as possible. mr Schanberg has no proof of his claims & even states so. i am not a fan of JM btw.
