Thanks for the video! I am still scared though. My poodle is being interviewed today by our local paper and I worry he will look worse instead of better if I attempt this today.

Clipper and blade care are important to preventing clipper abrasion. Nicking is usually a function of gouging with the blade, not keeping it flat against the skin. AND, some dogs are more likely to have clipper "rash". I use Gold Bond powder on sensitive faces, feet, or tummies if there is any possibility of clipper burning. I buy 1oz Gold Bond at Target and give one to the owner if there is a problem. Own the problem and give them something to use, is my motto.
