In the latest episode of mediabistroTV's "My First Big Break," New York Times columnist, and journalist's journalist, David Carr remembers the first big story of his career.

Trying to be a journalist, Carr began investigating an instance of police brutality in Minneapolis. He eventually convinced the editor of the the Twin Cities Reader to run it and it landed on the front page.
