Veni, Veni, Emmanuel - with lyrics

Hayley's Westenra's cover of this classic Christmas hymn (in Latin and English).

I absolutely love this song, and was happy this morning so thought I would make a little compilation in time for Christmas - as much as to learn the Latin lyrics as anything else! :D Oh, but I should mention that the English lyrics are my own literal translation. Actually koine greek was the universal language in the time of Jesus' birth, Only later the official church language became latin. But nevertheless, i love latin :)

@1Costello11 Yes and Amen! I was thinking about how weird it was how people stress how Latin is the language of Christianity. And the Lord said to me, "Remember! If it weren't for Christianity spreading to Rome and the Bible being translated in Latin it would have never got to Germany" where originally most of my ancestors are from. Thank God for Paul!
