I have a question as I'm new to this type of roping. Im using a king ranch rope I can't remember what scant it is. It's way stiffer then the ropes being used in this video cause when I throw it out to recoil it, it still has the coils just like a team ropers rope please help.

most of the big loop roping are done with medium/soft ropes or rawhide reatas. I use a 65 foot 5/8ths scant medium poly with a branaman hondo that I bought from Kings Ropes in Sheridan WYO.
