@CoCoDeLaCruZ not all, we are a mix of different african tribes from west and central africa however the Akan/Ashante people's were the most influential.

Maroon's originate from Ghana they are ashanti's aswell as myself. nuff love to my maroon family keeping the Ghanaian culture alive and strong xxx

the guyz last name Okoto is a ghanaian name. I am an Ashanti from Ghana , don't know why am soo interested in Jamaican culture esp. Accompong maroons. We have alot in common with Jamaicans. I hope I find the all the answers am looking for..:) one love one heart ♥
