In 2004, Teena Marie stopped by the radio station with her daughter Alia Rose who was 12 yrs of age..

We were having a conversation and Teena mentioned that her daughter, Alia Rose, could sing really good. I was the Assistant Program Director/Music Director so I quickly grabbed my camera as soon as Alia started singing an Alicia Keys song. Alia sounded excellent and as of 2009, she has been singing under the name Rose Le Beau.

I told Teena Marie I had recorded her daughter singing and i would email the video file which I did later that evening. This is a short clip.

Teena Marie was not only an extremely talented singer/writer/performer; but, she was a wonderful person. May she R.I.P. March 5, 1956 - December 26, 2010
