  • He looks an sounds more like Carl Solomon than he does Ginsberg. Im sick of James Franco.

  • What!! Wow I never new this movie exsisted! This is incredible. I must see it.

  • I always cry in this part of the poem.

  • <3 i love love love James Franco in this is voice its so ..~~~indescribable~~

  • very good ACT TING!

  • Just when I thought James Franco couldn't get any better...

  • @kawaiichan1224 Franco is actually pretty awkward and I think he's just an artist like most good actors and he's sort of portrayed or thought of as you described him. I haven't seen the movie though. I think they're very similar in voice and feeling but not looks. I like it.

  • In the original Six at Gallery Six Reading, Allen only read the first part of Howl so this scene never happened.

I hate James Franco as Allen Ginsberg. They just don't have the same vibe. Franco has this preppy wannabe coolness and Ginsberg was an awkward Jewish intellectual as earthy as could be. I also hate the film's romanticism of Howl, it makes it look contrived.

  • Great reading, very inspiring movie.

  • what a good imitation of how he talks.
