Playpoi :: Poi :: Luminara 2008

Nick of Playpoi came to Victoria in July 2008 to headline the fire performances at the Luminara Lantern Festival. We added two sold out Advanced Poi Spinning Workshops to the schedule.... it was a busy three days!! The performance included 2 sets each with 4 acts within this amazing 1 man show. Nick started with the "headless horseman" then moved into double staff for a fun circus inspired moment. The new acts moved smoothly into a Fire Poi set and ending with a finale of the large Fire Dragons.... The Fire Dance Performance bar was raised that night. Nick is a born star! it's called an Orbital, or as nick calls it a "Super Duper Uber loop". Just search either of those names on youtube and you'll find tutorials (though i recommend learning with glowsticks before you use fire =P)
