OK, so here's my second upload. "Sinister Purpose" by "The Brandos" from N.Y.
another John Fogerty (Creedence Clearwater Revival) cover.
The Brandos are David Kincaid(lead guitar, voice, producer, songwriter), Ernie Mendillo(Bass) , Larry Mason(drums) and James Mastro(Rhytm guitar).
This song is a fantastic cover from "John Fogerty"
Check out John Fogerty's official live DVD "The long road home"

This recording was made by a photocamera, so sorry for the bad quality video and audio, but I really would like to give you an impression of how the Brandos sound live on stage ! Please give a positive feedback if you like this video, if not, tell me :-)

good, allmost like CCR's version( Album

Green River) one of my favourites, perhaps the forgotten song from that album. thanks.

  • Damn. Sounded good to me! Not note for note, but a great version if ya wanna get an idea of how John might sound if he did it live.-Scott Gammon, Californina.

  • exelente!!!

  • Hi shortyD53!

I just stumbled on your comment. Sorry it took a year to respond! Glad to hear you liked our version. We actually released it as a bonus track for a CD single back in the mid 90's. Dave plays a Gibson SG much like Pete Townshend's. During this performance he is playing through a rented Marshall 100 watt and a 4 X 12" cabinet. Unfortunately we haven't played in California in 20 years but have been touring and releasing albums in Europe.

  • I just learned this song a few minutes ago and went to see if i could get a glimpse of how Fogerty plays the solo in this song, and i was surprised when there was not a singel recorded live clip of this song with CCR! I have to say that this cover is very good! Sure, the singing isen't like Fogerty, but the playing is very very close i have to say! Very good cover!

  • Hey, by any chance do you have "Hallowed Ground"? I can't find it amywhere and I love it!

  • your kidding,right ? sounds nothing like CCR..great song ,decent version,played OK,but again,sounds NOTHING like CCR
