  • The introducing words were so sincere and nice... What's there not to like in John Denver. And that song, is one of my favorites from his marvelous work. How I wish everyone could enjoy the emotion and honesty of his music. This dates from 1973 but what is perfect just never dies. :)

  • @jmldspt Thank you!

  • This was wonderful!! I didn't even know about this show on the BBC. Great rendition of this song, as is the original and the "Evening with JD" version. Thanks so much for sharing, I've got tears in my eyes.

  • What is it about the peace, love and joy in his expression in this video that makes you wanna cry? I guess this where the "wave" began--it's actually a form of praise, isn't it! I love it!

  • @sb100ify A truly great man, who, to his true fans, will be missed every day of our lives I'm just watching the early shows at the BBC1973. I was too young to remember them at the time, but, I was hooked the first time I heard Matthew, on the radio, a couple of years later. I will be 50 in December, so I have enjoyed a lifetime of quality songwriting and musicianship.May John's memory live on in his beautiful lyrics and popular melodies,we are the lucky one's who have enjoyed his legacy RIP JD

  • Can't believe he's been gone 14 years today. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was four when this show went out, and JD was my first crush...and 38 years later he's still one of the most remarkable human beings.

  • Love the song, can do without the interpretive dance. The dance is just cheesy

  • Does anyone know why JD named this album "Farewell Andromeda"

  • Amen to that! Love everything about him
