Billy Corgan performs Roxy Music's "Out of the Blue" with Bun E. Carlos (drums) and the Nicholas Tremulis Orchestra. This 2001 performance at Chicago's Metro, was during The 3rd Waltz (part of The Waltz benefit concert series for Heartland Alliance's Neon Street).

  • great tune even with bun e carlos on the drums and i was there

  • "even" with Bun E Carlos, are you kidding?! He smoked this tune, and Billy loves him.

  • Absolute kick butt version of Roxy Music's absolute best tune. Billy wails this piece. Band is super tight. Really cool.

It would have been fun to see the original SP cover it. D'arcy would have had to put in some practice time.

  • Corgan looks cheery and healthy here, he has become awfuly skinny. Must have wanted to look good in that new skirt or "gaultier" of his. good god it looked ridiculous.

  • @williampatrickcorgan That's a uneducated assumption that makes you seem like an elitist Pumpkins fan. Also, that comment was when I was just starting to listen to their lesser known work.

  • @dvon21 if you didn't know billy could solo then you're not a pumpkins fan

  • @samickjz2 Yeah, and he does a decent homage to Eddie Jobson's iconic electric violin solo at the end.

  • Woh¡¡¡

  • the way i wrote it was wrong i ment with bun e carlos he is great

  • its amzing you can listen to so much sp and not know billy could solo like that....geeek usa helllo

  • Hey Jerry Cantrell had a hole hell of a lot of talent too! But yes Billy is a god in his own right, and I love how he plays the guitar that Iommi gave him... SG are the best.
