The Tsar was also trying to do the right thing. The only Tsar that fought dirty was Alexander III. Russia was still a modern nation when World War I broke out. It was as invadvanced as Austria-Hungary, Italy, and Belgium.

Christianity is more valid than other religions for the same reason monarchism is more valid than other political ideologies, because I believe it to be so. Is it true? Maybe. Is it right? Maybe.

The communists were trying to do the right thing. If they have to fight dirty for the good of Russia, so be it. And there is no denying that a Bolshevik victory meant modern Russia's technology. One because the Cold War, and two because Stalin.

I used the term "theocracy" loosely. You want "christianity" (although I would not call it that for reasons I've already said) enforced by and influencing the government, correct? Why is christianity more valid than other religions?

Well we wouldn't really know, as the Tsars really did try to advance the country but were stopped by the communists on their every try.

I find theocracies absurd. Holy men like priests or popes don't deserve the title of leader because they will most likely abuse the title and try to interpret their religion to their liking. Monarchs don't do that, as they admit their fallacies many a times.

If the bolsheviks didn't win, Russia would not be anywhere near as technologically advaned on a military level and probably on a civil level. So will their regret -should they have any- would be silly.

Well that's an interesting thought. But bolshevik, menshevik, tsarist or anarchist, you must understand that a majority of the people wanted communism and that they wanted it with enough passion to win. Why deny them what they clearly lust for?

That is a lie. The Russian Tsar really tried to strengthen the country after the 1905 war with Japan, but couldn't because of all the revolutionaries who kept trying to making him abdicate. There were many who supported the Tsar too though.

The russians wanted communism but the government wanted monarchy. They made their choice. It may have quickly degenerated into corprerate dictatorship crueler than the cruel monarchy, but they chose their fate and they went from the laughing stock of Europe to standing off with the dreadnaught power USA and beat them to space. I feel that if Russia didnt revolt, they would be much poorer than now because they would have moneysinks and shit technology while still being fucking cold.
