I learned just 1 thing from this video. That I totally suck at using pen tool.

@XxTooHyperxX As I said many times before, I do not use a brush at all. This method uses 'fill path' which fills the outlined area with colour like a paintbucket....

@DaCommentGuy Yes, this style of inking can work for any illustration/sketch you have. The way you do it is the same. ^_^

im so confused, the pen is refusing to go where i want it to go...

Oh cool! i normally ink with my Wacom pen tablet cause i don't like using my mouth it just so boring for me that way but with a tablet i'm able too simulate the look and feel of real brush by playing with the brush settings pressure sensitivity and all that good stuff.
I never mastered inking with my mouse so this is very impressive and interesting to me.

what brush did you use for inking?

@SuperMamboo There are no brushes. You don't ever use a brush for this method.

@gridbug i think they mean which brush setting u have before u use the pen tool. Ok like u start on a brush setting where u cud change the width n angle n stuff so when u do the paths that's how the line is gonna come out. This info would be helpful to me as well because i cnt choose a decent setting; my line when i use the pen tool is either too feathery or too hard edged

@Sparklebabe31
And as I said the brush setting is irrelevant. Because you do not use "STROKE PATH". You use "FILL PATH". Which fills in the outlines like a paintbucket. As you can see I do not just go over the line once in this video. I go and make a thin shape and then fill it. I draw both sides of the line like I'm doing a box, not just use the path tool to go over it once.
So yes, no brush at all.
